Our Approach

The heart of the Mud Buddies Foundation is to enrich the lives of children affected by disabilities by providing a safe outdoor ATV experience in the mountains of West Virginia .

We provide guided ATV rides, trips for those affected by disabilities. Each ride is customized to the interests, likes and limits of each client.

Meet the Team

When Mike and Susie Rasmussen had to leave behind a family friend's daughter during an ATV trip because of the limits of her Down syndrome, they decided to do something about it. The Mingo County couple created the Mud Buddies Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of special needs children by providing safe ATV experiences.

"We thought there had to be a way for them to enjoy what we do, safely. They like the same things we like, and a lot of times handicapped children are getting left behind on trips like these"
